Five national community development organizations are joining forces to co-host the People & Places conference. In solidarity, we’re raising up the work of community developers, sharing innovative ideas, and building collective power so communities can shape their futures and thrive.


Community Opportunity Alliance

The Community Opportunity Alliance is a national nonprofit that builds the community development field. We are committed to creating conditions where residents can shape the destiny of their neighborhoods, securing their long-term stability, health, and prosperity. The Alliance strengthens the field of nearly 6,000 local community development organizations and state and regional associations across the country.

National CAPACD

The National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD) is a coalition, intermediary, and the nation's leading organization in advancing community development and advocating against gentrification and displacement of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) communities. We represent and support more than 150 community-based organizations in driving their local strategies, and we back their efforts by advancing progressive national policies.

National Urban League

The National Urban League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities.

Black Community Developers Group

Founded in 2020, the Black Community Developers Group was formed as a national coalition of Black-led Community Development Organizations. They exist to address the lack of reparative investments in Black communities, advocate for equity in lending and grant funding, empower black leaders through capacity building and mentorship, and network to strengthen access to resources creating power in numbers.

NALCAB

NALCAB is a one-of-a kind CDFI intermediary. With 200+ member CDFI and economic development nonprofit member organizations that are working to maximize the economic contributions of the Latino population to the U.S. economy. Our presence extends to all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico.
